The Mineral Museum features an array of displays and exhibits about the wide variety of minerals that originate from the 3,000 miles of mining tunnels in the area. The museum exhibits more than 1,300 different varieties of minerals, including the 27-ounce, Highland Centennial Gold Nugget and a 400-pound quartz crystal. It is located on the Montana Tech campus, near Chester Steele Park.
Open Summer 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.; Winter Mon. - Fri. 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Sat. - Sun. 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
